Unlike traditional services created for serious mental illness with intimidating long-term treatments, we specialize in nurturing mental wellbeing through solution-focused, Single Session Counseling (SSC) or Short-term Treatment to help individuals with mild to moderate symptoms. The clients are not offered services that they may not need. During the one-session treatment, the client and the counselor work together by focusing on what just happened (the trigger), how you feel (the talk-through), what intensified your current emotions (the cause), how to prevent emotions from working against you and what’s the next step (the coping skills).

However, our service currently is only available through your employer.

Onward is designed for anyone experiencing mild to moderate mental distress, including anxiety, depression, and stress, while navigating everyday life challenges such as career, relationships, life transitions, social anxiety, cultural adjustment, and more. It is also an ideal option for first-time counseling users seeking an introductory experience.

However, it is important to note that we do not provide medical prescriptions, diagnoses, or long-term treatments. If you’re experiencing serious distress or illness, we encourage you to reach out to a psychiatrist for a medical diagnosis or consult with a counselor to establish a comprehensive treatment plan.

Single Session Counseling is a client-centric modern counseling session, designed for individuals seeking just one-session psychotherapy to work on their current emotional experiences with mild to moderate mental distress.

Short-term Treatment involves working with the same counselor for 3 to 5 sessions.

Our counselors are licensed professional counselors who hold an unencumbered license to independently diagnose, assess, treat, and practice.

No. The Onward mobile app is free to download and sign up. However, our service currently is only available through your employer.

No. Currently, we do not accept any insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid plans.

At the moment, our services are available in New York and New Jersey. However, we plan to expand our services to other states in the future.

We invite fully licensed counselors to sign up through our mobile app, which is free to download and sign up. Once we receive your sign-up, someone from the Onward Team will reach out to you to start the onboarding process.
